Garden Square is a modern hospitality and retail space in Orkney, bringing together food, drink and local produce in a beautifully considered setting. As the venue evolved, so did the need for a strong digital presence and cohesive brand support across everything they offer.
Alongside designing and building their website, we also worked with the team to develop a brand-new internal food concept from scratch, giving Garden Square not just a digital platform, but a new brand within it.
For Garden Square itself, we created a clean visual approach that reflects the tone of the space. Simple layouts, confident typography and thoughtful use of imagery give the brand a consistent look across digital and print.
Everything feels modern, welcoming and easy to navigate, both online and on site.
As part of the project, we developed a new in-house food brand for Garden Square’s pizza offering.
We created the name Miso Cheesy and built the identity from the ground up, developing a bold visual direction that blends Japanese and Americana influences. At the heart of the brand is a custom mascot that adds warmth and personality, supported by a strong colour palette of red, pink, cream and black.
From logo and typography through to signage, menus and packaging, Miso Cheesy was designed to work confidently in the real world while sitting comfortably within the wider Garden Square environment.
We designed and built a website that clearly showcases Garden Square’s offering, with an intuitive user journey and a focus on what visitors need most.
From opening times and food offerings to events and updates, the site is structured to be engaging, straightforward and easy to navigate across all devices.
The website also allows space for sub-brands like Miso Cheesy to sit comfortably within the wider Garden Square ecosystem, giving each concept room to stand on its own.
We provide ongoing hosting and maintenance to ensure the site stays fast, secure and up to date. This gives the Garden Square team a reliable platform they can build on, backed by practical support whenever they need it.
Garden Square now has a digital presence that reflects the quality of the physical space, alongside a distinctive in-house food brand with its own personality and identity.
